Princess Ava Bisou (Bisou is French for “kiss”) is a patient at AMC Wyoming, and she has a true princess story to tell and many others to help! Ava was a Missouri puppy mill victim. At the age of only 1 1/2 years old, she had already been forced to have two litters of puppies. As a puppy mill survivor, she is eternally grateful to the National Mill Dog Rescue and her foster parents who adopted her on July 14, 2013. Her new mom even flew from Michigan to Colorado to pick Ava up. Now, Ava is able to learn to be a pet instead of a commodity. Ava has a big sister, Mia, and a big brother, Harley and also has two siblings of the feline nature. She is also very proud to say that she was one of the editor’s choice winners in the American Dog Magazine’s 5th Anniversary edition, which won her a spot on the back cover, as well as in the “Famous Dogs with Friends on Facebook” photo layout. Now, Ava spends her time speaking out against puppy mills and animal abuse! Ava knows she’s one of the lucky ones; she was rescued and now has a wonderful new forever family and loving environment. However, there are still thousands of innocent pets that are being tormented, mistreated and tortured everyday! She wants to educate people on the value of adopting or fostering a pet in need.
